MORGAN, UTAH-It's estimated that most people who use the X-ray machine end up having something broken or sprained, according to a study done at the U of U. Doctors have become increasingly concerned with the use of them, as well as expressing their confusion with how they actually work.
"I've never understood them personally. Most of my Dr. friends I've talked to feel the same way," says Dr. Lexy Osmond. "They're just confusing to me."
Lexy explained her experience with the machines in her career. "Most of the time, after someone used the machine, we discovered they had something broken or sprained. Even if they didn't, they were still in pain. I'm not sure why we put people through this.
The schools dental department is currently looking into the reason people get cavities during a visit to the dentist.
